We would like to invite you to a late summer retreat in Abruzzo, Italy.

Who is this Retreat for?

Therapists and like-minded people who are interested in natural/complementary treatments and would like to share their passion with others

Purpose of the Retreat:

 - Opportunity to share your passion with others

 - Enjoy, rest and revitalise in Abruzzo, the heart of Italy

 - Enjoy healing swaps with fellow therapists, learn about new therapy modalities

 - See how Villa Collecimino can accommodate your own retreat in the future.

 - For therapists who would like to learn how to develop their practices, there will be an optional marketing workshop.

  • Come and join us on a retreat in the middle of the stunning, dramatic Abruzzan countryside. This retreat is a chance for all types of therapists to come together and share their passion with like minded people in a beautiful, quiet and relaxing atmosphere.  This retreat is combined with other activities (of your choice) so that you are taking advantage of your environment and your body's capabilities.

  •  We want to give you the chance to get away and rejuvenate and restore your body in whichever way you need. We understand that each person has different desires and needs and we are willing to accommodate you.  You may wish to follow the general itinerary: a typical day includes breakfast, a morning meeting to share your passion with the other therapists, a leisurely lunch followed by perhaps a tranquil walk, or an excursion to the beach or mountains or a nearby medieval town.  A light evening dinner and then either a short evening meeting or some entertainment.  Or you might just want to relax and watch a film!  The beauty of this retreat is that you can take as much or as little as you like, you can even opt to simply rest and relax.

  • For therapists who would like to learn how to develop their practices, there will be an optional marketing workshop.

  •  Throughout your stay, guests will be hosted at Villa Collecimino – a light, spacious villa, 550m above sea level with panoramic views of the Gran Sasso mountains and Adriatic sea. Meals are included (7 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 5 dinners)

The large open plan living area in the central apartment will be used for meetings, yoga sessions etc, as well as the large outside terrace.

Your meals (vegetarian) will be provided by a local chef – cooked freshly for you every day. Continental breakfast, cooked lunch, light dinner – please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate these. (NB. 2 lunches and 2 dinners are not provided – this will give you an opportunity to eat out at a local pizzeria or restaurant – these meals are not included in the price).

Excursions

There will a choice of optional excursions for you to enjoy:

A day trip to the Gran Sasso mountains – in particular visiting the ‘Tibet of Italy’ – Campo Imperatore – an immense plateau surrounded by mountain peaks high up in the Gran Sasso mountain – great for spectacular walks, views, or for just enjoying the clear mountain air.  You may see birds of prey, wild horses, Abruzzese dogs and beautiful mountain flowers.  On a full day trip to the mountains you may also visit a stunning restored medieval hilltop town, Santo Stefano and a tenth Century castle – Rocca Calascio.

Or perhaps an afternoon at the beaches – less busy at this time of year but the sea temperature is usually still up in the mid-20s. The Adriatic beaches are clean, sandy and the water is warm and shallow and without any strong currents or tides – perfect for a late summer dip.

There are budget flights with Ryanair from Stansted to Pescara or flights with Easyjet from Gatwick to Rome. From both Rome airports you can catch a bus (prontobus.italia.com, flixbus.it) to Pescara for 12-24 euros each way. The journey is spectacular, taking you in comfort through the Apennine mountains. 2017 Retreat- Reviews:

'Hello Annie & Marek,

Thank you so much for offering the opportunity to join you on the amazing retreat at your beautiful villa. I loved it.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed cooking for everyone, I felt calm throughout (except at the top of the mountain) and have done so many things I couldn't have imagined doing. Everyone was so lovely and helpful and supportive. I feel blessed. I now have the confidence to say yes to more experiences as they come my way.  Jay xx'

'Dear Annie and Marek

I just wanted to say thank you again for being such great hosts for the retreat. I learnt a lot over the week and feel much better for it (although going straight into a city centre is a bit of a shock!) Love Karen'

'I've never in my life seen my friend so happy!'

'I enjoyed the week very much – loved the villa, and the fabulous views, as well as the company, and everything about it really. It was a wonderful week. Thank you so much for all of it, and also for the birthday cake and card.' Katherine D
